Debate
In this section, students can ask questions and debate answers on subjects covered in the course. Lecturers will also give their point of view.

How should we use the gifts in public, especially manifestations like speaking in tongues? Does God still speak through prophecy? And healing: have you seen this happen or experienced it yourself?
Have you ever received a word of wisdom or knowledge, and how did that impact you? What are your motivational giftings and where have you felt challenged to use them?

What does true repentance mean to you? Have you struggled with trying to earn God’s grace, rather than accept what Jesus has done on the cross? Have you been baptised in water? If so, why?
What do you believe happens after we die? What happens to people who do not believe in Jesus, or who have never heard about him?

Looking back across your walk as a Christian, how have you been transformed by God? How do you share your faith with others? How do you reach out to people who don’t know God – espacially at work, if few of your colleagues are Christians?
What does discipleship mean to you? How have you invested in others, and how do you think you can do that in future?

What authority do you believe Christians have in Christ? How do we deal with addictions and habitual sin? Does God heal today when we pray? Can we still drive out demons, like Jesus did?
What aout poverty – can we overcome that in Christ? Do miracles still happen? Do you have any personal experience of such things?

What works when leading such groups, and what doesn’t? Speak from your experience as a member and/or a leader. What would you like to see in connect groups?
How would you handle difficult relationships within a connect group? How would you go about to make new members and non-Christians feel at home? How would you draw out quieter members, and how would you encourage the stronger personalities to contribute to the group – rather than dominate it?

Share a testimony of answered prayer, or your journey of trusting God for something that has not happened yet.
What practical steps has helped you to establish a routine of prayer? Or do you struggle to pray – and do you know why? Have you found that specific things have hindered your prayer life? How have you overcome that?

Do you struggle to develop spiritual disciplines such as daily devotions? What tips have you found helpful in doing this? Should Christians today still keep the Sabbath? What does that mean to you?
How do you practice worship in your daily living? Why and how do you fast? Do you tithe and give financially in other ways – and why? Also share questions you may have about communion and fellowship.
